7) Conversion and/or application instructions

Bump Maps
---------

Bump Maps v3 slc left bump.jpg and v3 slc right bump.jpg will need to be converted for use in Poser 4.

Poser4 users will need to convert the bump map from .jpg format to .bum. format.

To do this, load any basic Poser prop into your scene. Go into material editor and browse to the folder where you extracted the bump maps to.

Select one of the bump maps and apply to the prop. Poser will create the correct .bum file for it.

Repeat for both bump maps: v3 slc left bump.jpg and v3 slc right bump.jpg.

After conversion you will be able to load the P4 version of the model without Poser 4 messages asking for the bump maps.

8) Usage Tips

The v3 slc props are smart props and are parented to V3's shins. It is recommended that the V3 figure be loaded into default position and that IK for left and right legs be turned off and that the V3 figure be zeroed via the joint editor.

Load v3 slc right and/or v3 slc left props as required.

The following body parts of the V3 figure should then be locked via the object menu: left/right foot - left/right toes.

Once the V3 figure has been posed as required, the left/right foot should be unlocked so that required pose can be applied. The left/right foot should then be locked again.

As in real life the V3 shins will not accept severe twisting inside the cast props. Any poke through after poseing can be adjusted with the V3 shin morphs.
